First Open Thunderbird and from the tools menu select Account settings
(note: you can click on the images to enlarge them)

Next click account action in the lower left corner : I have highlighted it red for you. From there select add mail account

Next Type in your name (as you would like it to appear on emails), your email address and your email password. Thunderbird will try and auto configure the account settings for you.

After you have completed the initial setup you can choose to configure some optional settings as well. Under account settings you will see your email address listed on the left hand column. Click the arrow to expand your setting if they are not already. I have highlighted the arrow in red .

Select Server setting from the left hand menu. The right hand side of the screen will change to server settings. While the server type will change based on your email provider, the checked setting in the picture are the setting I like to use.

My Grandmother is having trouble getting her printer to work in windows XP. I hope this post is able to help here fix the problems.

To open the printing control panel click : START – PRINTERS

From there you can view your printers (note that your printers will have a different name)

sometimes printers get clogged up with old documents that have failed to print. To check this click on the printer. if any documents are listed then select: PRINTER – CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS. this should fix this problem.
